The first temple I visited in Japan and one of the best. Kinkaku-ji or the “Temple of the Golden Pavilion” is quite famous and it’s easy to see why. Walking around the highly manicured temples grounds and you’re hit with a huge jolt of Zen right in the face. Peace pokes you in the eye.
